Privacy & Cookies

AbleStage uses a small set of operational services for analytics, payment, licensing, support, and updates.

Analytics

The public site uses PostHog to understand page views, navigation clicks, checkout interest, and download interest. Analytics events are used to improve the beta funnel, find broken flows, and prioritize product work.

Payments

Paid checkout, invoices, receipts, subscriptions, payment methods, refunds, and billing portal access are handled by Stripe. Stripe receives payment details, billing details, tax information, checkout metadata, and fraud-prevention data needed to complete and manage the purchase.

Licensing

License activation, validation, refresh, and machine deactivation are handled by the AbleStage API backed by Supabase. The app sends a license key, a stable machine fingerprint, app version, platform, and activation metadata so licenses can be validated and managed.

Local App Storage

Packaged desktop builds store the active license cache through Electron safeStorage when operating-system encryption is available. Browser and development sessions may use localStorage for the same beta licensing state.

Updates

The app checks a release manifest and native update feed to determine whether an update is available and whether the active license covers that version. Update requests can include the app version, platform, and license entitlement status.

Support

If you contact support, we may process your email address, license key, Stripe receipt email, app version, platform, logs, and any diagnostic information you choose to send.

Your Choices

You can deactivate a machine from the license dialog. Subscription and invoice management is handled through Stripe Billing Portal for paid licenses linked to a Stripe customer. You can also contact support to request license recovery, cancellation, or deletion of support records where applicable.
